1. last time i naively believed that hard work and effort would translate into results but after this (rather rude) awakening i realise that that's too idealistic
working hard is one thing; working smart is another. in hindsight, this is kinda straightforward though - no point toiling past midnight in a last-ditch attempt to memorise gmm/r when my brain's already half-asleep lol oh well 

2. so very thankful for my friends!! thank u for not judging and for continually providing me with encouragement; for all your consolations be it ponning lecture to accompany me as i wallow in self-pity or writing letters or snapping. am so touched and blessed to have known such wonderful and caring people, i do not appreciate y'all enough 

3. it sucks when you come so far, come so close to something you really really want, only to have it taken away bec of your grades sigh oh well but it doesn't do to dwell on this what's done is alr done i guess suck it up move on and try to look on the bright side of things sighhhh  (no matter how bad things seem, there's always a silver lining) (i guess) 

this too will pass
