yesterday concluded the best week in jc.
orientation was a BLAST! had my initial doubts about it, but i'm so, so glad our first impressions were proved wrong (goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover for the most part ha). everyone is so nice, supportive, FUN!! and i honestly am v v thankful to know them.
after the colossal waste of time that was jip, i wasn't exactly excited for orientation. thankfully orientation was NOTHING LIKE JIP!!!
kaleidos'14 was filled with so much fun, sweat, awkwardness, FUN, and more importantly, new friendships. i can't pick out a single favourite event; everything was honestly so memorable and exciting and beautiful. og dinners were super entertaining,
og dinner on day 3!!! <3
waiting selfie #1 bec everyone took damn long to arrive HAHA
waiting selfie #2
waiting selfie #3
waiting selfie #4 sian my face is cropped out but look at jenyong pls
ea was extremely draining but good bonding
at gardens by the bay!
at mbs hahaha all the girls "eh we must take photo at victoria's secret ok next time we go bra shopping" who knew the guys also wanted photo there aHAHA
batch dance was hilariously awkward!! sorry abs i suck at dancing
war games was damn scary dangerous exciting BUT ONE OF THE MOST FUN
and o nite was nothing short of amazing :') when snd was performing the batch song (colours collide - it's really good btw!!!) everyone linked arms and started singing and jumping up and down and the atmosphere was electrifying and so magical!!!!! the batch spirit was so strong - i can honestly say that that was one of the proudest moments of being a rafflesian i've ever had.
i can still remember the buildup to this (highly anticipated) week the past few months - from casual mentions ("sian hope my og got hot guy" "walao later we same og how") to stalking people in the same house (we didn't manage to stalk anyone correctly tho) which finally culminated in the twitter/wa/handphone frenzy when ogls finally started prankcalling (was at jingen's house with noobs when jian ming called; everyone screamed and he hung up on me AHHAHA). and then the fear, apprehension, nervousness and excitement on the day itself. fast forward a week and here we are - kaleidos'14 might have passed extremely quickly (too quickly; "time flies when you're having fun"), but the friendships forged and memories made definitely won't.
to my awesome og bw10 krispy kreme:
you guys are amazing (and unable to read this HAHAHA)! i'm sorry for the not-so-nice first impressions i had about you, and i've never been happier to be proved wrong ok. thank you for putting up with my nonsense and being so nonsensical yourself. it has been a great honour being your karanguniang even though i never do anything, and i really really really hope that we'll keep in touch for as long as possible!!!
bw10 !! hey we got shortlisted ok HAHAHA started out from the bottom (as donuts l o l) now we here (lifeguards n kiddies) so much love sigh sigh.
to the even awesomer ogls (esp bw10 ogls!!!):
thank you thank you thank you for kaleidos'14!!! thank you for spending so much time and effort on us and perfecting every single detail of orientation - from choreographing the really cool looking batch dance, composing the wonderful batch song, organising the super intense war games etc. glad to say that your efforts didn't go to waste; orientation was really brilliant and i'm sure many of us would DIE to relive it all over again :')
